What’s different this year from last year?
There are three differences this year as far as we can tell:
IMPORTANT: All registrations require a reference letter from a pastor to be emailed/mailed in for the registration to process.
The cost is lower for everyone, the catch is there is no private rooms available for anyone. Couples do have an option to be in a separate room together, but please email firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure there are still rooms available.
The venue is where we held the 2017 Celebration/AGM, Camp Nakamun in Alberta.
Who’s 20/20 for?
The 2020 Summit is for young adult leaders from all across the Baptist General Conference of Canada (BGCC) denomination. These are people from 18-34 who demonstrate a passion for Christ and a desire to serve Him. These leaders are invited to participate in the Summit by the leadership of their local church as a way of affirming the direction God is already taking them.
Who puts this on?
The Baptist General Conference of Canada (BGCC) is a movement of Canadian Churches from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia. The BGCC is Baptistic in theology and gentle in spirit. It is the role of the national office to cast a courageous vision to see God’s work done across our nation. (http://bgc.ca/)
The 2020 Summit is also sponsored by the Canadian Baptist Seminary, a founding member of the Associated Canadian Theological Seminaries (ACTS) located on the campus of Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia. http://www.canadianbaptistseminary.com/
What is the cost?
Young Adults (Shared Accommodation)
Regular Registration – 10 Person Dorm Room (Must be Completed by January 22, 2018) = $210
Regular Registration – 4 Person Rooms (Couples are priority) – 6 Rooms available (Must be Completed by January 22, 2018) = $260
Pastors & leaders (Shared Accommodation)
Mentor Registration (Must be Completed by January 22, 2018)
Mentor Registration (with Shared Accommodation ONLY) = $260
What does my registration fee include?
Your fee includes 3 nights shared accommodations, meals (3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners), plus all the expenses concerned with putting on a conference. Transportation costs are up to the group/individual.
How do I pay to register?
There are three options for payment:
You can mail a cheque to BGC Canada. Made out to BGC Canada and mailed via Canada Post to BGC Canada, 201-8315 Davies Road NW, Edmonton, AB, T6E 4N3. Please ensure there is a notation with the cheque stating your name (or that of the registrant(s)) and that it is for 2020 Registration.
- Electronic Fund Transfer
You can e-mail your registration funds to BGC Canada (send your registration funds via Electronic Fund Transfer). Please send the e-mail transaction to email@example.com AND send a separate e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org including your secret question and answer.
Use the PayPal function on our website to submit your payment. Please note there will be an administration fee added to your registration to cover PayPal fees

What should I pack?
Pack what you need, but here are some basics:
– Sleeping bag, pillow
– Toiletries, clothes, etc.
– Warm clothes if you decide to do an outdoor activity during free-time (like snowshoeing, wagon rides, etc)
– A Bible, pen, and notebook

What if I can’t come?
Transfer my registration
Registrations are fully transferrable up until February 1, 2018.
After February 1, 2018 transfers are subject to a $30 dollar processing fee for the completion of the transfer AND CAN ONLY be transferred to an individual of the same gender due to shared room accommodations.
Transfers can only be completed up until February 10, 2018.
Cancel my registration
As of Feb 3, 2018, All cancellations will be subject to our cancellation policy.
Refunds for cancellations less a $30 processing fee will be given, provided BGC Canada receives written notice prior to February 3, 2018 at noon. The registration fee will be forfeited for cancellations requested after February 3, 2018 at noon; non-attendance (“no-show”) counts as cancellation on the day and will not qualify for a refund.
All registration refunds will be processed at the conclusion of the event.
